Folk rock storyteller
Rachel Rossos is a singer, songwriter, producer, orchestrator, and poet living in New York City. Her credits include performances at Lincoln Center, the U.S. Embassy in Paris, CMJ Music Marathon, CBGB’s, and NBC’s international broadcast of the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular. As a producer, she regularly works with the Michael Gallant Trio, and co-produced the progressive jazz band’s critically acclaimed albums “Completely” and “Live Plus One.” Rossos sings, writes, and performs with New York indie band Aurical, which has twice performed to capacity crowds at Lincoln Center. Further credits include an orchestration performed by Leonard Slatkin and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra; vocal recordings for the live theater production of “The Pillowman” at the Studio Theater in Washington, DC; and production and recording for eclectic rock collective Dr. Nick and the Wah Wah Boys. Rossos earned her B.A. in Music from Columbia University. She is a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) and the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP), and she currently serves as the VP of Marketing and Membership for the League of American Orchestras.
